An exhibition center for displaying Shandong's traditional handmade items opened to the public in Jinan on Sept 15.
The center, which is located in the core business area of Quancheng Road, Lixia district, will be served as one of the two main venues of the third China International Cultural Tourism Fair and the first Traditional Chinese Crafts Fair which will be held from Sept 15 to 19 in Jinan.
The center is designed to develop into a handmade industrial park integrating sales, research and development, exhibition, incubation, and experience of excellent crafts in Shandong.
The center is a four-floor building with different exhibition topics. The first floor displays handcrafts from provinces along the Yellow River, the second floor reproduces the fine handmade arts of 16 cities of Shandong province, the third floor has a hand-made innovation research and development center, workshops of handcraft masters, and the fourth floor has a research and study base for handmade cultural exchanges from home and abroad.
The center will also host regular activities to promote handmade culture exchanges including handmade innovation design competitions, and livestreaming activities.
