On the afternoon of August 1st, the Jinan-Dongying Provincial Capital Economic Circle Cooperation Promotion Meeting was held. During the meeting, the two cities signed the Strategic Cooperation Agreement on the Integrated Development of the People’s Government of Jinan City and the People’s Government of Dongying City.

Accelerating the integrated development of the provincial capital economic circle is a major decision and deployment made by Shandong Provincial Party Committee and Shandong Provincial Government focusing on promoting the coordinated regional development of the province. The provincial capital economic circle connects two world-class city clusters, namely the Yangtze River Delta to the south and the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Region to the north, as well as connecting the Jiaodong Economic Circle to the east and the Central Plains City Group to the west. It is also endowed with an important strategic location among the three major economic circles in the province, with a solid industrial foundation, rich natural resources and profound cultural accumulation, which are unique advantages in undertaking industrial transfer and the allocation of production factors.
