“2020 Dialogue with Shandong--Japan·Shandong Industrial Cooperation and Exchange Meeting” Kicked off on July 30th

On the morning of July 30th, the “2020 Dialogue with Shandong--Japan·Shandong Industrial Cooperation and Exchange Meeting” was held in Jinan, Tokyo and Osaka.

Jointly organized by the Shandong Provincial Government, the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) and the Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO), the event will last two months, during which a series of business promotions will take place.

The event aims at deepening all-round exchanges and cooperation between Shandong and Japan, enhancing multi-level and long-term cooperation dialogue among local governments, business associations, scientific research institutions and enterprises, as well as expanding new areas of cooperation.

Liu Jiayi, Secretary of Shandong Provincial Party Committee, attended the seminar and held talks via a video link with Sasaki Nobuhiko, Chairman of JETRO. Li Ganjie, Governor of Shandong Province, delivered a speech. Yang Dongqi, Deputy Secretary of Shandong Provincial Party Committee hosted the seminar.

The event will largely be staged online due to the COVID-19 pandemic. It will include seminars, match-making sessions and Sino-Japanese city cooperation and exchange meetings.

Emerging industries such as high-end equipment manufacturing, fine chemical engineering, marine economy, modern agriculture, medical care and health, culture and tourism will be highlighted during the event.

The “Dialogue with Shandong” activities have gained great attention and support from celebrities of all walks of life in Japan.
