Ten major projects are under construction in Yantai Economic and Technological Development Zone, including a convention and exhibition center, a high-end hotel, a featured wine town, a cultural innovation zone and several cultural squares.

Bajiao Bay International Convention and Exhibition Center

Covering an area of 140,000 square meters, the Bajiao Bay International Convention and Exhibition Center has eight exhibition halls and more than 30 multi-functional halls and conference rooms which can hold more than 40,000 people. The project will be completed in 2021.

The center was designed by American engineering firm AECOM and is expected to become a new landmark on the city's coastline.

Yeda urban square

Covering an area of 87,000 square meters, Yeda urban square include a 22-story office building and two 10-story office buildings. After completion, it is expected to improve the business environment in the zone.

Guxian overseas Chinese cultural and tourism town

With an investment of 11 billion ($1.5 billion), the cultural and tourism town will feature local culture and tourism resources and will integrate entertainment, travel and creative culture.

Covering an area of 870,000 square meters, the town will be constructed in three phases. The construction of the first phase will begin this year.

Changyu wine town

Covering an area of 700,000 square meters, Changyu wine town will integrate wine culture, tourism, wine tasting, featured hotels and healthcare in Yantai.

Huahai insurance headquarters

With a total investment of 2 billion yuan, Huahai insurance headquarters will cover a total building area of 298,000 square meters, with 22,000 square meters above ground, including office space, training centers, and supporting facilities.

The headquarters is expected to be completed and put into use by the end of 2022. It was designed by the world's top architecture GMP, adopting the concept of green sustainability.

After completion, it will become a new financial industry center in the zone.

Indigo Hotel

Indigo Hotel will include one 21-floor resort  hotel, one 16-floor business office hotel, and one ICH square.

The main building will be completed by the end  of October, 2020 and will be put into use in 2021. The hotel is hoped to boost  the popularity the Golden Beach scenic area in Yantai.

Yadong Cultural and Creative  Park

Yadong Cultural and Creative Park, with an area  of 9,000 square meters, was transformed from an old factory operated by Yadong  Standard Parts Company. It integrates modern architectural design and will serve  as a cultural and creative base. The park is expected to be put into use within  the year.

Yangfan Square

Covering an area of 90,000 square meters,  Yangfan Square was designed by AECOM, the world's top design company. It has  four themed areas with cultural facilities including a library, exhibition  museum and theater.

It is expected to be completed by the end of  June, 2020.

Housha Square

Housha Square covers an area of 12,000 square  meters. A corridor bridge will be the highlight, offering great views of the  sea. It is expected to be completed by the end of June, 2020.

Bajiao River Park

With a total length of 3.5 kilometers and an  area of about 700,000 square meters, Bajiao River Park will be a green landmark  of the Binhai new urban area. It is expected to be completed by the end of  2020.
