Market Prediction

Ployether Polyol (or polyether for short) is an important organic chemical material used for making polyurethane products and surface active agent. Its downstream products are widely used in such industries as electronics, auto, packaging, shoemaking, furniture, sealant, refrigeration, etc. The consumption in China will increase at 5% to 7% in the next few years. With the rapid growth of construction trade, the demand for foam polyether will keep increasing at a fast speed. There is also large growth margin for the demands of high elastic polyether, low-resilience recovery polyether, polyphenylether and other special types of polyether. It is predicted the demand for polyether by China will reach 1.4 million tons by the year of 2015.

Project Content

The project is located in Jining Chemical Industrial Development Zone in Jinxiang county. Batch method is used in this project. Polyether is made through the polyaddition reaction of initiator and PO in the presence of a catalyst. The production process includes three steps: pretreatment of raw materials, ring opening polymerization and post-treatment.

Investment and Profit Analysis

The total project investment is 320 million yuan. The sales revenue is expected to reach 3 million yuan and the yearly profit of 188 million yuan. The ROI is 7% and the payoff period is 5 years.
