Zaozhuang, a business
center in southern Shandong Province, was named by Forbes as one of best cities
for business in China, which derives from the fact that Zaozhuang enjoys
excellent business climate and great potential of growth in terms of workforce,
urban size, level of consumption, transportation, private economy vogor,
business costs, innovation, etc.
Zaozhuang is located in
eastern China with an area of 4563 square kilometers. There are 4 major
transport lines running through the city: Beijing-Shanghai High Speed Railway,
Beijng-Taibei Expressway, Zaozhuang-Linyi Railway, and Beijing-Hanghzou Great
Canal. Those lines connect the city with Beijing, Shanghai and Rizhao seaport,
which are accessible by rail within 3 hours. The canal connects with the
Yangtze River and transports cargoes to southern China.
Zaozhuang has a population
of 4.01 million. In 2014, the total sales of consumer goods reached RMB 70.6
billion, the GDP RMB 198 billion with an annual growth rate of 9%.
Zaozhuang city owns a state-level
high-tech industrial development zone and 6 provincial-level economic
development zones. The zones have professional management and service,
well-developed infrastructure facilities and good supply chains. Textile,
garments, lathes, chemicals, potatoes and other products are well known on the
domestic and overseas markets.
